Getting here
Fort Road, Gosport, PO12 2AT — follow the seafront past Stokes Bay until the houses stop. Free parking at the clubhouse. From the M27 allow half an hour; from the Gosport ferry it's ten minutes by car along the bay.
On arrival
Check in at the bar — there's no pro shop here, and the staff will sort your green fee and anything else you need. Give yourself twenty minutes for the practice green by the 1st tee; the coffee and bacon rolls start early, and many visitors consider them the real first hole.
Dress
Golf clothes on the course, common sense in the clubhouse. No football colours; smart casual is fine everywhere. The full dress code is on the club information page.
For the non-playing partner
Stokes Bay beach is over the road, the Solent ferries cross to Ryde from Portsmouth all day, and Gosport's waterfront and submarine museum are ten minutes away. The bar is open to everyone when you finish.
Finding your way round
First visit? The routing takes a hole or two to learn — every hole has its own tee, and several cross on shared ground. The 1st tee is a few steps from the clubhouse door, and this map (the same one printed on your scorecard) shows the lot.
