Club life

The clubhouse is the nineteenth hole, and we take it seriously

Recently refurbished, open 7am–7pm daily (later when something's on), and run on the radical principle that a golf club bar should be friendly and fairly priced.

The bar and the kitchen

The clubhouse looks straight down the 18th, which means every drink comes with live entertainment: someone, right now, is trying to hold their nerve in front of the windows. The refurbishment kept what mattered — the honours boards, the trophy cabinet, the view — and freshened everything else.

The kitchen does honest golf-club food at honest prices, and visitors are as welcome as members. If you have walked the beach at Stokes Bay and want lunch with a view of the links, come in. Members drink at discounted prices — and that includes social members, whose £25 a year may be the best value in Gosport.

Competitions & the members’ hub

Medals, stablefords, knockouts, winter leagues — the competition calendar runs all year, entered and scored through the ClubV1 members’ hub and HowDidiDo. The honours boards go back through the club’s history, and the silverware in the cabinet has been fought over since the United Services days.

The junior section

Junior membership starts at £25 a year for under-12s — the price of a takeaway for a season of links golf. Juniors get coaching, their own competitions, and a course that will teach them more about ball flight than any simulator ever could.

The club takes its safeguarding responsibilities seriously. Our policies and welfare contacts are published on the club information page.
